Forensic Accounting Class Opens as CUPL Students Visit

Recently, Professor Zhang Sutong of the China University of Political Science and Law (CUPL) led 22 forensic accounting graduate students to visit Beijing Zhongrui Cheng CPAs. Hao Mei, head of the Judicial Appraisal Department, together with her colleagues, received the guests warmly. The first forensic accounting class was officially held in the No.1 Conference Room of Zhongrui International.

Shen Xiaoguang, head of the Quality Control Department and leader of the Young CPAs Group, Hao Mei, head of the Judicial Appraisal Department, project manager Pei Lijun, Liu Jianhai, head of the Tongzhou Branch, Zhang Li, head of Audit Department VI, project manager Xia Xuefeng and all relevant members of the Judicial Appraisal Division attended the class.

Teacher Hao Mei introduced to the participants the development history, business types, honors and prospects of Zhongrui International, and analyzed the development prospects of the judicial accounting appraisal industry.

During the class, Professor Zhang Sutong presented letters of appointment to He Yuanquan, General Manager of Zhongrui International Group, Hao Mei, head of the Judicial Appraisal Department, and Pei Lijun, judicial appraiser, appointing them as Distinguished Researchers of the CUPL Forensic Accounting Research Center.

Focusing on the theme of Practical Operation of Judicial Accounting Appraisal, Teacher Pei Lijun exchanged views with the participants through specific cases. Her clear and profound presentation enabled everyone to understand the key points of judicial accounting appraisal, such as how to examine the accounts and how to choose the angle of appraisal, and won unanimous praise.

Professor Zhang Sutong, centering on the professionalism, independence, objectivity, importance and rigor of judicial accounting appraisal, used four specific cases to explain the strict requirements and high standards of the industry, including the professional ethics of judicial appraisers, the professional requirements for appraisal reports, the differences between judicial accounting appraisal and auditing, the time limits of appraisal, the scope of materials and the risk awareness in accepting appraisal commissions. The detailed sharing aroused strong resonance and provided good ideas for future work.

After the class, Teacher Hao Mei made a comprehensive summary, and together with Professor Zhang Sutong and Teacher Pei Lijun answered all the questions raised by the participants, which was unanimously recognized by the visiting students and the Zhongrui participants. The class was highly rewarding, and everyone looks forward to the next session.
